A free search is each time you click Compare and run a rate comparison. A booking credit is used when you open a guided booking window through Whereabouts.

The booking provider controls checkout, and the price shown on its site is the price you pay. If checkout is in another currency, your card network or issuer sets the final conversion rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. Our conversion estimates should usually be within a fraction of a percent of major card network rates, so the final charge works like any other online purchase in a foreign currency.
